Winnebago Outdoor Adventures invites you to enjoy a first-rate historic and cultural experience in the waterfront city of Chicago, IL.  The 2018 Chicago Adventure begins on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Hollywood Casino RV Resort in Joliet, IL for seven nights of camping with full hook-ups.

Your guided bus tours will take you through the streets of Chicago to see the fabulous classic landmarks and neighborhoods as you experience an in-depth look at the traditions, stories and people of this great American city while enjoying an inviting assortment of food.

Day 1: Joliet, IL

• Welcome Dinner

Day 2: Immigrant to Elite A day spent in Chicago is a study in contrasts. Discover the contributions made by various ethnic groups. Visit their neighborhoods to see houses of worship, shops and street art. Then, experience for yourself the elegant lifestyle attained by successful citizens who became the “shakers and movers” of the community. See the institutions they created and be a guest in a mansion from the Gilded Age.

Day 3: Chicago Tastee Tour Experience the culinary delights of Chicago… as diverse as the city itself. Take a behind-the-scenes look at this fascinating and delicious world, from creation to consumption. Hear from the experts as they demonstrate their skills. Learn the history of foods, seasonings and customs from ancient times to the tastes of today.

Day 7 Chicago Today and Ethnic Dine-Around Get a look at the current highlights of Chicago. Millennium Park on the lake front and the hidden Lily Pool Garden in Lincoln Park spot light the city’s natural beauty. Willis Tower provides a view of the entire area. Then join us for an exciting evening exploring the best of Chicago’s ethnic cultures and cuisine. Enjoy a progressive dinner in the neighborhood restaurants that represent Chicago’s spirit and variety. Commentary along the way adds to the experience of exploring the city.
